Felt Painting: Feroshi Fire Spit

Layered felt never looked so good. Wait… felt painting? Layered felt? This sounds weird…

Well, it’s not weird. It’s mainly awesome. Here’s how it all works: Shawnimal draws a picture, then illustrates that picture on the computer. After that the picture is sliced and diced so a special cutting machine can cut the bits and pieces, kind of like pieces of a puzzle. Then Shawnimals puts those pieces back together to create the original image in felt form, also like a puzzle. Cool, right? It’s extremely labor-intensive.

But as you can see, also very rewarding because the pieces have a really awesome quality when hung up, floating like they do.
